MULTI-MEDIA DISCOVERY CENTER: A PLACE TO EXPLORE

From the minute you walk into our Clinic's waiting room, you will realize that it is not your typical "waiting room". This room was not designed for people to just sit and do nothing.  Instead, it was constructed to serve as a place to learn, even before you enter your therapist's office. Which is why we refer to this room as a "Discovery Center".  As you look around, you discover books on topics such as various Anxiety Disorders, Relationships, etc.  You will also notice a wide screen TV playing videos featuring special weekly topics with respect to specific Anxiety Disorders such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, and several other types of conditions related to chronic worry.  You will also see videos pertaining to relationships, and methods for enhancing those you have with special people in your life. On another TV there may be an educational Power Point slide show discussing our Clinic's services, or a special topic related to anxiety, couples, or family systems. Upon request, we also offer you the opportunity to use our Clinic's iPads or lap tops, while sitting in our waiting room, for the purpose of researching on the internet any topic which interests you related to the conditions we treat.  Also available, are several written materials for you to read at our Clinic, choose to take them home to read at your leisure, or to pass onto someone you know.

CONTINUE TO EXPLORE

These materials cover a variety of topics ranging from the nature of anxiety and chronic worry, as well as information concerning free community service seminars performed by our Clinic.  And remember, you do NOT need to be a current patient of our Clinic to browse through our Multi-Media Discovery Center.  If you are reading this page because you found us on-line, and would like to stop by for a visit, just give us a call ahead of time to ensure that we are open during the time you wish to visit.  Once we know when to expect you, we'll be sure to keep the door open, and to leave a "discovery light" on for you.  Hope to see you soon.  In order to get an idea of what our Discovery Center and offices look like, we have prepared a Photo Gallery (seen above), along with a brief corresponding description of each image. To pause any particular photo, simply place your cursor over the photo, and then remove the cursor when you are ready to continue viewing.

ENJOY!

    THINK ABOUT HOW YOU THINK

The bottom line is this…how we think effects our emotions, and how we behave.
